Schedule your class’s field trip today!
Please allow an hour for a complete visit to the Museum and grounds. Children will be thrilled to see what they have studied only in books as it comes to life before their eyes. Visit a real middle-class home from about 1790 with its cooking hearth. Learn about how clothing was made in the 18th century. Compare that rustic home to Joel Lane’s “big house.” After your tour, children will delight in playing with reproductions of colonial toys. They will enjoy guessing what an artifact was used for while they learn why it was important to colonial life. Admission is $1.00 per child, no charge for accompanying chaperons.
