North Carolina scarf in stock in the Museum Store!

North Carolina scarf in the Museum Store! The NSCDA in NC (NC Colonial Dames) have supplied JLMH’s store with a beautiful new scarf on the theme of North Carolina. It is made of 100 % silk and was designed by Marisol Deluna of New York. It measures a very generous15” by 60”, an oblong that can be tied in a myriad of ways to complement any outfit. Its beautiful flowers and other elements symbolize the best of North Carolina: dogwoods and magnolia blossoms as well as subtle architectural features from the houses owned by the North Carolina Colonial Dames. 100% of the proceeds benefits Burgwin-Wright House in Wilmington, Haywood Hall House and Gardens, Joel Lane Museum House in Raleigh, and the Museum Houses Endowment Fund administered by the Colonial Dames which benefits all 3 properties. Price of $117.50 includes shipping. To see a You Tube video of 25 ways to tie a scarf, click here. To purchase, click here.

What visitors say

Thank you so much for letting our IB Human Geography class come tour the Joel Lane house. I really enjoyed learning about how high-class people lived back them. I was surprised to hear that they were always working and had no time to themselves. I was also shocked at the size of the beds. They were so small! You two really played good parts and made me feel like I was really back in those times.
