Sampler kit picturing the Joel Lane Museum House is in the gift shop!

The counted cross stitch sampler kit sells for $25 and includes an image of Joel Lane’s home, the alphabet in capital and lower-cased letters, numbers, and a place for the creator’s initials and the year of completion. Finished it measures about 12” by 15”. You will want to purchase one for your daughter or grand-daughter for the holiday season so she can learn this time-honored craft.

Thank you for the excellent tour of the Joel Lane House. I learned a lot about the history of Raleigh as well as the Joel Lane House. I learned how harsh conditions were back then and how we take for granted things they did not have back then. The structure of houses has really changed a lot since the Joel Lane House was built.
