Welcome Volunteers!

We are delighted that you have chosen to volunteer at the Joel Lane Museum House. Volunteers are key to making this wonderful heritage site available to the public.
*When you come to our campus, please leave your valuables at home—we have no secure storage space. In winter, please leave outer wear in the car—we don’t have a coat rack either.
*If you are coming to help out at an event that is at night or on the weekend, please park in the lot directly across the street from the Visitors Center beside the RED brick building, behind the beige brick building to the right closest to St. Mary’s Street (marked law office only), in the lot at the back with a red & white tow-away sign (you will not be towed at July 4 or Christmas Open House, only!) or off Morgan St. beside the gray house opposite the Junior League building (in the side lot but not in the rear) so that our guests may park on the street. Do not park in the lot adjacent to the Visitors Center—you will be towed after 8:00 pm.
