Flip Glass

Hand-blown flip glass with two ridges of glass at base of bowl and one ledge on foot. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term was first used in 1695 to describe a mixture of beer, rum, and sugar that was heated with a red-hot iron.

You really gave us great information on what life was like back when Joel Lane was alive. They lived in very harsh conditions with no heat or air condition which would be very tough today.
