American Pewter Mug by Danforth of Conn.

Rare American pewter quart tankard made by Danforth of Connecticut. Tankard has a ball finial and is slightly flattened on the bottom. There are two ridges 4 inches apart at the bottom. Lip on top. Handle has designated thumb mark. ACC 1999.1 OBJ 1999.1.1 6” height; top diameter 4”; bottom diameter 4 1/2”; 8 1/2” across to include the handle; circumference at bottom 4 3/4” Estimated date: 1780
